The CAC met with Kate Conners to discuss renovating the upcoming CV Workshops and put the finishing touches on a brand new Career Advisory website to be launched next year.

Both M1 and M2 Student Senate met with Dr. Jackson and Leah Robinson to discuss the objectives and progress of the iPads that were issued to the students. Sean Mutchnick and Enea Gjoka, who are working on enhancing the streaming service, were also present to share ideas. The meeting minutes can be found >>here<<.

Student Senate and Curriculum Committee Representatives met with Dr. Booza and Dr. Bridge to voice our concerns regarding the testing process. We also made some suggestions and passed along ideas of other students regarding testing operations. The meeting minutes can be accessed HERE.

The link for the Senate website is now updated on the main WSU School of Medicine website. This should increase accessibility to this site for current and future students.

Student Senate met with Mr. Ron Spalding today to discuss two things: the accessibility of the Senate website and the availability of Mac and iPad streaming.

Accessibility of Senate Website
The link for the Senate website will soon be added into two additional locations. One is on the main website for the School of Medicine. The other location will be on the Apps or MySOM page. We hope that this will help make the Senate website more accessible.

Availability of Mac and iPad Streaming
Thanks to some major efforts through a couple of students, WSUSOM will soon be able to offer better streaming options for Mac and iPad users. This means that Mac users will finally be able to change the speeds of the lectures as well as not having to wait for the lecture to pre-load. Additionally, students will be able to stream the lectures on a mobile device such as an iPad. We are told that we can expect a pilot to be made available before Christmas Break.

Today, Student Senate met with Drew Guzman, BSO President, to discuss the layout of the Student Orgs portion of the Senate website. It was a productive meeting with a lot of ideas discussed. The meeting minutes can be accessed >>here<<.

The senate website hit 1300 views (over 1000 unique) on reveal day. That's.... let's see.... carry the 2... times pi... take the integral... over 3 full classes at WSU med! We're quite happy to be able to reach so many people. Let us know how we can improve!

We asked you for questions, and we took many of the best ones to Mr. Bluetooth-Gordon, and came up with the most entertaining interview to date! Thanks, Marc Korn for guest-interviewing.

Student Senate met with Dr. Bridge on 11/3/11 at 12:30 PM to further discuss the logistics problem pertaining to our last Pharm exam. Dr. Bridge provided us with more information regarding this problem. It was basically a human error made by testing services that we were not given the right amount of time. However, Dr. Booza, the new Director of Testing, is working hard to make sure that this does not happen again in the future. He is placing new checks and balances to avoid mistakes such as this. Student Senate asked for an email that would acknowledge their error. The recent email from Dr. Bridge was a result of this. 

All that being said, Student Senate plans on meeting with Dr. Booza sometime next week to get more insight in testing processes. We also hope to give student input to
